2011/2012 Fitness Challenge
What are your health goals for 2012? Let us help you reach a new level of health as we embark on a lifestyle enhancement program that will show you what to eat, how to move and exerise, how to reduce stress, and provide full support along the way. Meetings are scheduled for every Thursday at 6:30pm and will run for approximately 30 minutes. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you there. Our first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 2nd at 6:30pm and will also include the viewing of the movie, "Forks over Knives". We have availability for 15 people, first come, first serve basis. Our fitness challenge is designed to encourage our patients to set fitness goals for themselves, whether it be walking, running, cycling, swimming or anything that gets you moving. We are planning on group exercise in preparation for a few different events next year, including the Portland Rock N Roll half marathon on May20th, a short triathlon on June 10th, a 5km or a 10km race, which you could walk or run. We are also planning a new Walking Club to start in November to help facilitate staying fit, especially through the holidays.
As the program progresses, look for additional recipes and workouts. We are also working on a nutrition and exercise log to keep track of your diet and exercise routines. For those who are interested in doing the triathlon, I have designed a workout schedule to help you train for your specific event, or for all three if desired.
